Glucosamine update
I have now been taking glucosamine for 4 weeks and this stuff has made a noticeable difference. In fact within the first 24 hours I felt relief. And it has continued to improve each week. I have gone from an average daily pain level of 7 to an average of 4.5 this week. Now, level 4-5 is still a lot of pain to deal with, but it's so much better than 7. I'm really happy with it so far.
I also think the PT exercises are helping. I will continue them and I can now start adding some short walks into my day.
*As a side note, my mom has started taking glucosamine for the artritis in her hands and has had good results.

I am so very excited that you have found some relief!! I was hoping it would help! Makes me wonder if I should try some. I don't have pain in my knees but they snap, crackle, and pop. I have always wondered if it would help but I have never tried. I am also curious about collagen and have some of that but ever take it. I am such a slacker. :) And YASSSS on that 169.2!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you. I was so excited to see that on the scale! I don't think it would hurt to try it. Let me know if you do.
DeleteGreat job with your weight loss! My stepson starts physical therapy this week for his knee. I hope it helps. I need to ask my mom if she has ever talked about glucosamine with her doctor. She has been having trouble getting around, her knees hurt so bad.
ReplyDeleteIt would definitely be worth a try.
DeleteYes good job with the loss and glad the glucosamine is helping. I wonder if glucosamine helps with sciatic nerve pain. Just came from my physical and I asked dr. for a note for a standing desk and he said NO! Said I don't have a diagnosis and just to take walking breaks. Sheesh.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I don't think doctors always understand pain. Everyone seems to think we are just being a wimp about it.
DeleteYay to the relief! I’m glad to hear that it’s working for you!
ReplyDeleteYou did really good...you only missed some of those goals by a very small amount!!! Keep it up!!
Thanks, you're doing great too!
