Home tour: my bathroom

I am still working on getting the house set up and decorated the way I want it. I let go of so much in the great purge of 2016 that we don't have a lot of things. I've had to order quite a bit. I'm trying not to go overboard but at the same time I want the house to look nice.

R and I are pretty close on decorating styles,  but we've found a few things to be a challenge. We are still working on those areas.

One room that I have complete control over is my bathroom.  We have separate bathrooms so he rarely goes into mine.

My favorite spot is still the deck. But let's take a look at my bathroom.

The walls were this color when we bought the house. I decided to just go with it. I fell in love with this shower curtain the moment I saw it.

A small table/towel holder that sits between the shower and toilet.  To carry on my "Treasures of the Sea" theme, I added the tray with a chest, sea shells and a dolphin.

These fish are on the wall straight across from the shower.

The vanity. Not very exciting,  but still pretty I think. Do you see the sleeping mermaid?

Here she is.....

I love how this room is turning out. It's the perfect place for a relaxing, candle light, bubble bath.

I was hesitant to post a tour of the house just yet. So many things are not "finished". But I finally decided that it might  be fun to post them now and then do an update later.

My wish list for this room:
1. New window curtain.
2. New towels.
3. Artwork for the wall by the sink.
4. A few little things to add to the fish wall.
5. Maybe add star fish near the seahorse.
6. Fix the small hole in the sheetrock.
7. Hang a hand towel holder.

I hope you have enjoyed the tour of my Treasures of the Sea bathroom. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.

Next up.....a look at my dining room.

PS: My new couch is being delivered next week, so I'll be working on the living room too.

  3. It's beautiful! I love the wall color and would have kept it, too. And that shower curtain is gorgeous! I totally get the "undone" feeling with pulling everything together in a new house, but it'll happen. :)

  4. I love those colors! And separate bathrooms would be awesome. I swear my husband never, ever wants anything in the bathroom until I am brushing my teeth, ha ha.
