Thoughts
Not as great this week. But I did keep my water intake the same and exercised for at least 20 minutes on four days. The monthly Ladybug was visiting, so I'm pretty sure the gain is water weight. Hopefully I can get that back down. I'm going to experiment with some limited meal plans and the shape up increases to 30 minutes on 3 days for this next week.
I had listed no soda as one of my goals for the week and normally that isn't a problem. But hubby bought me one of the new orange-vanilla cokes to try and I just had to!
I'm really feeling discouraged and I'm thinking that I'll never lose weight. Maybe my weight goal is unrealistic for my age? Maybe I shouldn't worry about the weight and just focus on being active and making "decent" choices with food? Why is this so hard?
I love that cat tree picture!
ReplyDeleteWeight loss is definitely harder the older we get, but it can happen...just not quite in the timeline we'd like, unfortunately. What if you only weighed in once every 4 weeks? Then you might see a bigger change vs the incremental ups and downs you are seeing now.
A lot of things are harder as we get older....sigh....
DeleteI love the cats, but hubby is a dog person so I probably won't ever get to have one.
I have had the same problem and while I use the scale as a guideline I am not focusing on the number. I am focusing on being more active, getting outdoors more, walking every chance I get and watching what I eat but nothing is off limits but moderation is key to it.
ReplyDeleteI do use my scale as one tool, but unfortunately no matter what I eat or what exercise I do my end goal is to be healthy, be active AND weigh less.
DeleteI love that picture! The cats are beautiful. You are definitely right that weight loss is hard. I don't know why it's so hard, but it feels impossible sometimes.
ReplyDeleteSo...how was the orange vanilla Coke? :)
I liked it!
