Walking update

Webwalking The American Discovery Trail

Total miles in May: 40.86

Total 2019 miles: 209.71

Total miles on the trail: 1291.66

Miles remaining: 3756.34

Overview chart (so you can compare months)

My goal for this year is to walk 1,000 miles. I'm really behind and need to step it up! At this point I need to walk 113 miles a month for the rest of the year to make my goal. It probably won't happen,  but I'm going to try to get as close as I can.

Do you think it would be cheating if I counted bicycle miles? So far I've only counted actual walking, but there's a new bike in my future (probably this month).

  1. I'd just change the name of your challenge from walking 1,000 miles to achieving 1,000 miles, or something like that. Then you can make both walking and biking count.

    A new bike! What kind?

  2. I am with Shelley, make the goal for propelling yourself for those 1000 miles! I know the days I bike...I may burn 1k calories because of the intensity of the trail and time...but I end up walking very few steps! So yes...count the bike miles!!! And as a side bonus, the bike miles will REALLY help you hit the 1k mark!!!

  3. Miles are miles! You are still working for them. I would count them.
