Weigh Day

Last week: 170
This week: 172.4
Loss/Gain: +2.4

Year status: +.4

I just don't understand.  Why do I keep bouncing up and down in this 3 pound range? I worked really hard this week watching my calories and increasing my activities and walking. We are 21 weeks into the year and I'm still stuck right where I started.

Last time I was on a weight loss mission (about 10 years ago) I was under the care of my doctor. I was taking prescription diet pills and checking in with him every month. I did great and lost the weight I wanted to lose. Slowly and in a healthy way.

My brain keeps telling me now that it isn't possible without that extra help from a pill. R doesn't want me on a diet at all, so taking a pill probably won't happen. I'm lucky he doesn't complain about me counting calories.

I'm not sure what to do. But REALLY want to lose 40-45 pounds!

  1. Even if you don't get the prescription, would it be a good idea to check in with your doctor and see if he or she has any suggestions to help with your weight loss?

  2. Keep plodding on!!!! If you stay the course and are eating perfectly it will eventually come off!!

That said...look at your food intake and see what could be adjusted to shake things up!!!! For me staying within my calories isn't enough...I have to limit carbs!!!

  3. Dont feel bad I find myself doing the same thing and its frustrating as hell. Start keeping track of your inches. Think about all the improvement you have made in being active. You are improving even if the scale says no.
