I wanted to post one photo every day this month. But I'm going to start May off with a few.
This is what we woke up to this morning. The river is up about 6 feet. The front yard is under about 3 ft of water. And there is more rain in the forecast. It will get worse before it gets better.

Front yard, mailbox, and only road out. |

This is how close it is to the front of our house. |

This is how close it is to the back of the house. |
We have moved the truck and a few things to higher ground, but the next several days of rain will be stressful.
Wow! Does that happen a lot? How long do you think you will be stranded?
ReplyDeleteWe've only been here 11 months, so not sure how often it happens. If the rain let's up the road may be clear in a day or two. Thank goodness for stocked up groceries lol.
DeleteOh wow try to stay safe. We use to live in a community called Wonderland in Ohio and it use to flood like this too.
ReplyDeleteIt's a little bit scary.
DeleteOh my!!! Stay safe!!!! That would definitely have me all stressed out!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks. When it reaches the house, I'll worry.
DeleteOh crap! Watch out for floating piles of ants. Them mofo's are NASTY! I hope it dries up FAST!
ReplyDeleteWe've seen lots of debris...tree limbs and trunks, trash, 3 balls, a beat up boat. But never thought about ants!
DeleteOh gosh! I hope that the water doesn't get any closer to your house! Stay safe.
