Planning time

It's Friday! Not only does that mean the weekend is here, but it means that I'm planning for next week. And because April starts on Monday,  I'm planning for the new month!

Here's how my March trackers turned out.

My evening routine is rock solid. And my early morning stuff is good. It's the afternoon and hobby section that suffered this month. I also slacked on my meditations this month.

On my health and fitness pages after about a week I just stopped tracking my fasting hours as well as calories, carbs,  fats and protein.

I've changed up the health tracker quite a bit for April.

I condensed it down to one page and added a "one line a day" journal page on the right.

I also rearranged my routine tracker.

I put all the hobby stuff together at the bottom and I don't expect to do them every day. But hopefully this month I can improve the consistency of several other things.

My pain tracker for March looks pretty typical. I'm averaging about 5 really bad days a month.

And finally, a look at next week.

It's week 4 of the six month shape up. I'm aiming to walk 11 miles and drink 40oz of water a day.
Other goals include 5 hours of stitching, 5 hours working on the rug and buying a new paint canvas.  Oh ya, and finish the taxes! Craft night is on Tuesday and I'm really looking forward to that.

Planning Time

I thought it might be fun to share my planner with you. Before we look at next week, let's see how this week is going.

February 25 - March 3

This year I'm using a Clever Fox planner. I like that it has the months and weeks laid out but still has room for the tracking that I so love. The paper quality is amazing and the grid paper at the back gives me space for the more "bullet journal-y" type stuff that I enjoy.

This week has been pretty good. I've managed to walk 3 miles every day so far (see the stars!). My water has been ok.  I'd like to get it to 40oz a day, and I'm close,  but it still needs work.

Looks like I'm slipping on the meditations this week, but that's ok. I've felt really good all week and I guess my mind just didn't need it.

Its early Friday morning,  so I still have things to get done. Overall, it's been a productive week.

Since we are moving into March,  my first task was to look at the big pucture....or monthly view.

There's not too much going on this month. Lots of Nascar races lol. I put quite a few things on the goals list. Hopefully I'll make a good dent in them.

Next I set up my monthly trackers.

My health and fitness tracker where I keep up with my weight, water, steps, miles, calories and a few other things.

Next is my daily routine tracker. Its early in the day but I've got half of friday done already! I'm marking the things I complete in green and scheduled days off in orange. Anything not filled in at the end of the month is stuff I didn't do. If you'd like to see how February's chart turned out, let me know.

Finally,  let's see what next week is looking like.

I've got all the basic stuff put in already and I've set a few goals. I'll be aiming for 3 miles a day again! I also want to do a little cross stitching this week.

I hope you enjoyed this peek into my planner.  I'm thinking about sharing it every Friday.  Is that something you'd want to see?

How's your week been? Are you making progress on your yearly goals. How about your February goals? I'll be posting a February review as soon as I get all my stats together lol.

December Vision Board

I've never made a vision board before,  but I've been thinking about adding one monthly to my journal next year. So I thought I'd practice in December to see how it turned out and if I'd really like it or not. Usually collages of things drive my OCD  brain crazy.

I included the typical holiday stuff like a tree, food and of course National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation movie. But I want to focus on family, friends, my pets and our home. Also as a good reminder to take care of me, I added the exercise photos. I love the quote "live better now". We should never put off self care, NOW is the time to take care of you!

Have you ever made a vision board? Did you enjoy it? Did it help motivate you? If not, have you ever considered making one and do you think it would help you?  We'll see if it's something I can get into or not.

Planning for next week

Part of my planning process is to review the previous week. Let's start with that.

July 23-29, 2018

Goals
1. HOME: Get furniture from storage.
☆We actually did this on the 22nd. We brought home a bed frame, dresser, vanity and a desk as well as several boxes. I think one more trip to storage and it will be empty. Then we can cancel that and save $55 a month.

2. HEALTH: Walk 14 miles.
☆The totals aren't in yet but it looks like I'm on track to do it. Tune in on Monday for the final results.

3. HOBBIES: 1,500 stitches.
☆ I still have a few days to add stitches, but as of today, I already have over 1,800.

Weekly Home Blessing
Everything is done except the vacuuming.  Something is wrong with my machine.  Hubby is going to fix it this weekend.

Zone 4 - deep cleaning the bedroom
Got everything done but the floor.

Notes
1. I got the month of August set up in my Bullet Journal. *A post about that is coming up next week.
2. I planned the menu for when we have company next weekend.
3. Mailed the student loan payment.
4. **I still have not canceled the renters insurance. Gotta get this done!
5. Called in prescription refills on Thursday.

Meal plan
Everything turned out great and we went to a Mexican restaurant on date night.

Healthy Me
The results aren't all in yet..... but I have felt good about it all week. My motivation was up, even on Thursday when I was having severe back pain.

Thoughts
Overall,  it was a nice, productive week.  We had several days of cooler (in the 80's) temperatures, which was nice. We watched 3 movies this week so far: Wrinkle in Time, Ready Player One and Marshall. Today I plan on watching the start of The Handmaid's Tale. I'm excited to see my kids, grandkids and mom next weekend.

Photo of the week

Now on to plans for July 30 - August 5, 2018.

You'll notice that I left the "healthy me" section off this page. You'll see what I did with that next week. I also lowered my stitch goal to 1200 because I'm sure I'll be busy playing with the grandkids for a few days.

As for housework,  we are deep cleaning in two zones this week. The living room and the entry/deck/laundry room. There are a lot of things on the list! I will be busy.

I haven't finished the meal plan yet, but I waned to leave it open in case we decide to eat out while the kids are here. I know we are doing hot dogs on the bonfire one night.... the boys requested it LOL.

I hope you have had a great week. Have fun, be safe and stay on track with your fitness plan this weekend! I'll see you on Monday for weigh-in.

2018 Bullet Journal set up

To set up my bullet journal for next year, I followed along with Megan's Planvember series at Page Flutter. Mine is a lot more simplistic than her's, but I loved watching her journal come together in the videos.

In 2018 I'm continuing my 3 year journal (the one in the back) in a beautiful book my daughter in law gave me last year. It's produced by N.D. Author Services.

For my new bullet journal I chose to test out the new Artist Loft grid notebook from Michael's.  The $5.00 price tag is so much better than other journals.

I'll be skipping over some of the more private pages like my goals, bills and savings trackers and some of the plan ahead pages. Other pages I have included are a wish list (things to buy) and a bucket list (things to do).

Ready to take a peek inside?

Page one is my key. It's pretty simple and includes a small color code.

Next is a year at a glance calendar. I've never put one of these in my journal before, so we'll see if I actually use it or not.

My 2018 word of the year. And a rare attempt at being artistic.

My walking and yearly weight tracker.

These two trackers are new to me. I've never felt the need for a mood tracker. I'm still not sure it will be useful information. I've always noted the days weather, but I don't use it for planning purposes.  So I decided to stop putting it on my daily pages and just put it here. Again,  not really useful but I thought the color patterns might be pretty at the end of the year.

This year I will be saving for a trip we want to take at the end of 2019. I've decided to follow this 52 weeks savings challenge in order to get about half way to our goal.

This is the TV shows I'm watching and the start of a reading list.

January's planning pages. I'm going to track the mood and temp on this page then transfer it over to the big chart at the end of the month. It's a little repetitive for this book but when I move on to the next one in April, this small monthly tracker will keep me from going back to the yearly chart each day.

My monthly fitbit stats and measurements and a daily weight tracker for January.

Weekly stats and workout plan.

And finally, the start of the first week of 2018! With my daily routine tracker and housework lists.

I hope you enjoyed this look at my 2018 journal.  If you click on the photos,  they come up a lot clearer.

This week

For the week of December 11-17, 2017.

Note to self: If I'm going to post every week what's on my schedule,  I should plan more exciting things than housework.

Update: R is home from the hospital and feeling pretty good.  In and out of the hospital and crappy days are just a part of chronic illness.

Did you notice the Santa birthday candle in the photo above? This week starts off with my birthday!  That's probably the most exciting thing all week. We celebrated with a steak dinner last night.

Also from the photo above, you can see that I've taken my bullet journal back to a very basic layout with no color. All the lines and chaos were giving me a headache LOL.

This week I'll be working on my cross stitch and will post an update on Friday.  I also want to really stick to my exercise schedule this week. It's so hard in the winter.

I hope you all have a great week.

Fitbit Progress Report

For the week of November 6-12, 2017.

1. Steps goal: 35,000
Total: 17,909

2. Miles goal: 15
Total: 7.12

3. Minutes goal: 105
Total: 28

4. Exercise goal: 20 minutes on 3 days
Total: 1 day

5. Weight:
Oct. 30 - 173.8
Nov. 6 - 174
Nov. 13 - 174

Thoughts:
I completely lost my motivation this week! Every day I logged my numbers and it just didn't matter that I wasn't getting this done.  Not even my reward stickers could motivate me.... I didn't earn any.
This unmotivated week showed up on the scale though. The scales hung out between 172 and 174. Wasn't it just last month I had a couple days in the 160s?

Goals for November 13-19, 2017:
I'm not officially setting any goals this week. I still have them listed in my journal and I'm still tracking every day. But it's going to be a no pressure week. I'm taking this time to look back over everything I've done this year and figure out why it hasn't worked, and make a plan for next year.

This week

There's not a lot on the schedule so far this week. My normal daily list and housework.  We are in Zone 3: the bathroom, if you are following the Flylady.

I have physical therapy on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  I'm watching The Voice and The Good Doctor.  On Sunday we will watch the NASCAR championship race.

On Tuesday I will order Christmas gifts and then that will be all done!

And last but not least, I have a few things to do to get ready for our camping trip.

I'm sure a few things will pop up as the week goes on, but it looks like a pretty calm week for me.

Bullet Journal - November set up

I liked sharing my October Bullet Journal,  so I thought it might be fun to continue.  My journal is by no means Pinterest worthy and definitely not artistic. But I love doing it. Since the kids are all grown, I don't work outside the home and I don't have a lot of appointments it can get a little repetitive.  BUT let me just say, repetition and schedules are such a big help to me. It calms a lot of my fears and anxiety.

Anyway.... I'm rambling.  Let's look at the beginning of November.

Monthly calendar. I love these light and swirly letters. I should put them into my handwriting practice routine so I can get better at them. I've already added and had to change a few things on this page.

Tasks and Highlights. I did something completely unexpected and chose a washi tape that is pink and gold. Not typical fall colors, but I'm liking it so far.

The bills. To be filled in later.

Fitbit Progress Report and weight tracker. I tried to condense a lot this month so I put these two together on one spread.

That's all of the monthly spreads. We then jump right into my two weekly spreads.

My weekly view with the daily list and my housework trackers.

And finally my daily health and fitness stats. This week's reward goal is getting at least 10 minutes of exercise. Let's see if new fall stickers is enough motivation to get it done!

Bujo October review

October went by fairly quick and it's time to set up November's Bullet Journal pages.

First, let's review October.

I added a few little things to the monthly view,  but mostly I use this as a reference.  You can see all of October's original set up HERE.

My highlights page is pretty simple.  I didn't try to get artistic LOL. I'll get the fitbit stats for the last week later today in my email and will fill that last section in.

As usual, my weight was an up and down mess! It likes to tease me by hitting 165 and then bouncing right back up to 173 several times during the month. I'm ending the month with Lady Bug Week, so naturally I'm showing a water weight gain.

I ended up not liking my daily tracker and housework trackers all the way in front of my month. You'll see I moved them to my weekly spreads.  But I did go back and fill most of it in because I didn't like them blank LOL.

October 2-8 weekly view.

October 2-8 fitness tracker. ☆Notice I got my reward stickers four days this week! It goes down hill after that.

A couple daily pages.

I made a list to keep track of the gifts and cards this season.  On the left is room for names and notes.

October 9-15, I changed the weekly layout. This is where I added the housework trackers to my weekly.  But I was still flipping back to my daily tracker.

October 9-15 fitness tracker. Only one reward, where did my motivation go?

October 16-22. I changed the weekly layout again this time making room for the daily stuff.

October 16-22 fitness tracker.  Completely unmotivated to earn those stickers!

A couple more daily pages.

October 23-29, changed the weekly spread again and I really liked this one.
When I set this week up, I didn't do any daily pages. I like doodling the weather, so I added it to the weekly. Notice that we went from 77 on Thursday to a very cold 46 on Friday!

October 23-29 fitness page.

Part of my October review.

So that's what my October Bullet Journal looks like. It seems a little boring to me. I love my boring life though LOL.

I hope you enjoyed taking a peek into my journal.
